I have several bulbs within pots in my refrigerator crisper. They be planted in October and November. I have planned on taking them out in March, but they are starting to bud out of the dirt within the last 2 or 3 weeks. Should I walk out them in within or take them out? Will they still flower at adjectives? I wanted the flowers for Late April/ Early May for an event. All info is appreciated.
Answers: I am afraid you planted them too precipitate, they take more or less 8 weeks of cold to start blooming. I would leave them surrounded by the refrigerator, you might be able to suspension their bloom time for a few weeks. But even waiting until March won't keep them surrounded by bloom until late April or untimely May. Once they get the heat up weather they will bloom and be gone pretty quickly, surrounded by a week or so. They are among the first bulbs to bloom, and when the weather is really warm, they won't closing very long. They as a rule start blooming in precipitate February, and bloom thru March.
Well, they are one of the earliest bulbs to bloom. They tend to have their own timetable, so in attendance is little you can do about it bar delay it a couple of weeks or so.
