Answers: I like 'spitfyr's" notion of meditation. I find hand weed relaxing. I also find each weed have it's own idiosyncrasies, some are best attacked when the ground is raining, some are easier late surrounded by the day when they enjoy less turgur and smaller number likely to snap, some are best pulled when tiny others when you can clutch with both hand, some are best left as a cover crop until your plants are established and some are too pretty to verbs. they are easier to pull out when the ground is damp.
