Right outside my dining room window i own a yard, it is unsightly as both the wall and ground are concrete.I close to lushness. (i cannt spel and i own prest spel chek and it says complete- i know it isn't so i apoloise surrounded by advance!)
Answers: call round your local b&q and garden shops. winter is the best time to buy evergreen foliage, so get your plants soon !
even asda / tesco's little plant centers enjoy some good greenery pots right immediately.
look for HARDY or HARDIES plants in b&q - they come surrounded by variety of shapes and sizes colours from white to muted green to dark green beside diff colour flowers.
also buy some PERENIALS and place diff pots all together.
perenials and hardies are evergreen and next to the right arrangement your little concrete space will look lush and lovely. make sure you wet them once a week atleast and keep putting fresh compost once a month atleast and they will present you not only greenery but seasonal colours!
you can also win good standard 'heather' these days. you can obtain painted heather which will then present green leaves out of red / purple etc, which looks quite nice !
righteous luck and happy gardening !
