does my black compost bin really need to be contained by the sunlight to effectively compost? i have a nice shady spot for it, and someone said its the putrid that generates warmness, but i always thought the bin should be within sunlight...help! (and thank you for said help).
Answers:    Sunlight without doubt helps and is recommended, but I hold had luck surrounded by partial to full shade. Keep it moist, keep it turned, preserve the bulk up, and keep the bits small. You'll probably be only fine.

Composting absolutely generate heat, and you call for that heat for the process to work as okay as to kill seed from weeds and plants contained by the compost.
Doesn't have to be but individual in the sun help speed things up a bit. After all, it's adjectives dark inside the pile.
