Anyone any good thinking of getting rid /killing THE COMMON CREEPING IVY from around the base of a tree EASILY and CHEAPLY!

Answers:    The problem next to using herbicide on ivy is that the leaves have a gelatinous cuticle. If you use a herbicide add a short time washing up solution to the mix as this will break the surface tension of the hose. Also crush a few of the leaves before applying it as this will assist digestion.

It will require more than one application to kill the ivy sour completely.
