Answers:    When I had that problem next to caterpillers eating my cabbage plants, I'd sprinkle white flour on the plants right after it rain or early contained by the A.M. (when the dew was still on the plants).
When the caterpillers (cabbage loopers) started crawling up on the plants, they'd capture pasted, suffocate & drop sour.

The caterpillers can be picked off the poinsettia by mitt if you don't have flour handy.
