I have caterpillars surrounded by my garden the fuzzy kind !
Iam a bit worried just about spraying my plants as I have two kittens that play within the garden has anybody any warning please.
Answers: you have two option,
1) pick them off by mitt
2) use a veggie-safe insecticide. like seven dust
near the insecticide you will need to maintain your kittens (and other animals) quarantined from the area for a couple of days in recent times to be safe. (put them within the garage or have a Friend pet sit)
Read the sticky label on the insecticide for instructions on how long to keep your pets away.
Picking the fuzzy critters stale can be fun; but it's easy to miss a few.
Get some Bt (Baccillus thuringensis v. kurstaki ) for caterpillars . It's a microbes that will only take out certain caterpillars. Be vigilant not to overspray too much though. It can kill other , desirable species. Two trade name are Dipel, and Thuricide.
