i have a cat palm that have slowly declined over the months that i own had it. i enjoy the light bulb that simulates sunlight, and tried plant food but it continues to slowly die. i be wondering what i could do to help reverse this and verbs to make it flourish? gratitude for the help!
Answers:    You probably requirement to:
increase humidity,
hold off on feed it until later contained by spring.
top dress soil in pot.
check for spider mites, scramble, and mealy bugs.
rinse leaves off.
clear sure it is not sitting in dampen (sometimes water runs straight through short wetting the root ball).
lighting will be the determining factor if there are no bugs and the soil moisture is OK.
oil lamp must be bright enough that you can see a clear shape on the plant when your foot is held a foot from the light source. if you can merely tell that near is a shadow there isn't ample light, and simply the leaves that have satisfactory light hitting them are self helped by the neutral.
Hi! Cat Palms generally prefer nearly full shade, so if you are using a buoyant on it, that to me would be simulating full sun, which is what would cause it to decline surrounded by a natural, outdoor situation. Maybe transport that light away or find a method to diffuse it so it would simulate shade instead. Also, you can never let this exceptional plant dry out between waterings--it should always stay enormously moist. So check the soil, too. Good luck!!
