I've placed mine on a saucer of peebles and keep wet on the peebles. It seems to stay moist, nonetheless it's leaves seem to stand up instead of lay naturally. too moist?

capably if they are drowning in the dampen then yes, you can take special fertiliser for african violets and also you have to hold on to them in partial sun.
