Lupine is a very striking, bold adjectives spikes dense with pea-like flowers, within intense blues to creams. Best placed at the back of the border for adjectives, or naturalizing. Stately 3' spikes contained by wide color catalogue and many lovely bicolors, bloom from May to June. Attractive foliage. Prefers cool weather. Zones 3-7. Perennial. Full or partial sun.
The flowers look close to little brightly colored pine trees in design amongst green folage.
