Answers:    Technically, anything that is natural will compost. However, the wonderful smell of vegetable oil might draw some unwanted animals to your compost bin, including rats and possums.

I instinctively will compost small amounts of vegetable oil, such as plant-based food that have been sauteed contained by oil, and I will put small amounts within the compost bin, but in sizeable amounts it is definitely better elsewhere, unless you don't mind some "company."
