It has be raining forever now,a nd is gonna precipitation for another week or more. But my grass is about 3 foot high!! I entail to mow it! Can i do it in the precipitation or should I just skulk?
Answers: Well if your grass is truly 3 feet towering than it wont make much difference to linger another week. You can mow grass in the precipitation with no problems but if the grass is high, like over 4 inches high than after first cut you could be in for a slow and messy post. I was a landscaper contained by FL for 8 years and mowed plenty of wet grass during and right eafter precipitation and its not an issue. It will not harm your blade surrounded by any way and unless you hold a cheap peice of junk your mower will not shut down a break any, it may bog down so you might need to hold your time and if its real towering you may need to cut it at the mowers best setting and again at a more desired hight once you get it knock down a bit. Dont ever mow if its lightning and always keep watch on your step, its easy to slip below the mower if your pulling back on the handle while manuevering and what not.
Yes you can mow it but you better have a top back ,high horse power mower similar to Honda. I went through alike thing. Water would stand on the grassland a couple inches deep for three days and by later it would be raining again.
I set the commercial grade Honda push mower to its upmost setting, just not quite above the water plane and went to work. It did an exultant mission. Grass wont stick if you have a lofty vac. mulcher blade and the grass is soaking. Self propelled helped also. Good luck
