I am growing some Sensitive Plants (Mimosa Pudica) and I have a ton of extra seed. Can I save them to use next on? What special things do you have to do to maintain them usable? Storage? Temp? Stuff like that. Thanks!
Answers: Yes you can amass them.
Keep them in a cool, darkened, dry place.
Do not use plastic bags for storage, a small serious newspaper bag works capably
I spoke to the Master Gardeners from URI, and according to them you can keep seed viable for at least 3 years within an airtight (plastic) bag.
That also go for prepackaged dated seeds (ie Burpee). Just fastener them in plastic and cut the date.
