I DONT EVEN KNOW WHAT A VEGETATION ZONE IS AND THAT IS WHAT WE ARE DOING IT ON!! HELP!!
Answers: NO! NO! NO! PEOPLE. From what I can see, Angel is the only one who is even on the right track. Most everyone else is referring to Hardiness zone which deal lone with the Average Low Temperatures and is VERY different from a Vegetation Zone which deal with not single temperature but moisture received as powerfully.
The earth¡¯s vegetation is subdivided into several vegetation zone. Each of them is characterized by certain temperature, precipitation, and humidities, and specific types of plant communities dwell in specific zone. Hardiness Zones deal one and only with average low temperature.

As you can see from the diagram showing the different Vegetation Zones, here can be different V.Z.'s that exist within the same Hardiness Zone. The biggest difference man the amount of moisture they receive. So a Tropical Rain Forest could exist in one and the same Hardiness Zone designation as a Desert since temperatures are essentially equal, but moisture received is vastly different.
