I am a landscaper and designer. I have also germinate several thousand seeds in a greenhouse. Many plants are identified as annuals but surrounded by reality you can keep them inside year around and they will survive more than a year. I own done this with Basil, ornamental pepper, banana peppers and others. You can also have some annuals outside and bring them contained by for the winter and they will survive also for more than a year. I have also done this. As long as you have the right lighting and cause sure they are kept on a watering schedule.
