Can my plant possibly survive? I'm a college student, and I had my plant home over break...

I'm a college student, and I had my plant home over break so I give it some really nice, fresh soil. It had other been sickly, but presently it was starting to look really in shape and vibrant. Don't know what kind it is-the stem be long and curved (possibly towards sunlight) and it had single leaves within an alternating pattern. But when I moved spinal column into my dorm, he got gone outside in the vehicle while we be visiting family connections on the way (about and hour and 20 min within maybe -20 F windchill...yeah not good). As you can suppose, he looked pretty dead but I tried to assist him recover. But later...he accidently got decapitated (if you know what I mean). The top partly (well most of him actually) was so derisory I threw it out. Is there any sort of kismet at all that his bottom chunk with the roots could ever grow more stem and leaves? Or is he a goner? I'm trying to retrieve him...
Answers:    Depending on what type of plant it is it can regenerate and regrow. The plant is more that likely fundamentally stressed out!! If you really want to you can go and buy some soil next to more nutrients in it and giving the plant lots of dampen through out the day (without drowning it) Keep it within a window trademark where it will find plenty of sun. If you can you might want to buy a heat light or a UV lamp to support the little guy get support on his feet. Try looking up what type of plant it is and it will bring up to date you if they are More resilient and has the power to come back after person this stressed. I hope he makes it!
not knowing what description of plant it is, i guess it is possible, if the root ball didn't freeze. administer it a while and see what happens. i find it interesting that you refer to your plant as a "him." is nearby a story behind that?
