My dad planted a mint plant by our back door. It attracts so many flies that when you touch it approaching 15 flies come flying out. It's extremely annoying and my mom hates it.

If my dad takes it out of it's pot, and plants it contained by another one would it survive?

Answers:    That's unconventional, because mint is supposed to be a natural REPELLENT.

Mint can survive just almost anything, except drought.
