Can I trim my hydrangea bushes right presently? They are full of leaves so I can see exactly what they'll...

They are full of leaves so I can see exactly what they'll look like trimmed as opposed to trimming within the fall when the leaves are gone. They haven't bloomed yet, so can I shape them right presently? They are getting too big. Thanks!
You can, a moment ago not too much or you might kill them. In the winter, you can cut them all the opening down to foot-long canes and they come back freshly fine in the spring, because winter is the dormant season. But, since they're in a growth cycle right presently, I wouldn't cut them back to less than 3 or 4 foot high. You run the risk of cutting the blooms rotten. Wait until after blooms die.
If the bushes require pruning to closing date their size,it would be best to remove some of the inner, older branches entirely After flowering, cut back the remainder to the first two of a kind of leaves below the flower.
More drastic pruning will cut away the flowering growth for next season.Should your area be liable to frost, disappearing the dead flowers
'til spring will protect the new buds.
Answers:    If they haven't bloomed yet, trimming will remove the buds that have formed and you will probably seize no blooms this year. The best time to trim them is after they have bloomed. Most hydrangeas will bloom on old growth.
If you do..they wont flower this year. Wait until they are done flowering.
