Can I prune a Redbud tree surrounded by partially? I have a young at heart Redbud tree, about a year...

I have a young at heart Redbud tree, about a year ancient, growing in my front patio. It is about 10 foot tall and roughly an inch and a half widespread at the base/trunk. It only grows foliage roughly speaking half bearing up the tree. the upper half doesn't grow anything. I have a sneaking suspicion that the upper half is unmoving, maybe. Can I cut the upper partially off short killing the rest? Will it verbs growing? Or should I just provide up on this and dig it out? Thanks.
Answers:    If you own a tree or shrub with unresponsive branches, always cut them out. Once they are late, cutting them bad will have no fruitless effect on the plant, and will certainly put together it look better.

My guess is that the top half died contained by winter from lack of river. Trees that are recently planted enjoy to be watered frequently even in winter, whenever the ground is not frozen solid.

I would hold on to watering it and see how it does this year before you endow with up on it.
I don't think it would hurt to prune out the parts that you devise are dead. Give it a short time more time and if it continues to suffer, then you can carry rid of it. Check it out for any signs of diseases or pests as well. That could ruin up affecting surrounding trees.
