I dont have sun on my backyard so i am planting vegetables on containers on the roof where on earth i get sun from morning to hours of darkness.. Can i also plant corn in one? I hold buckets with simply one plant each. How much space does it requirement from the roots to the bottom of the pot? Thank you
Answers:    Yep. I have see corn growing in containers befor. I am trying it in actual fact. I planted a bunch in a rubbermaid container. Just net sure that the corn is placed fairly close together as they are pollinated by the coil. You will need a few plants to beable to take any cobs. If you have them rime cream buckets or somthing simaler that shoudl be fine. Just make sure the roots don't grasp too hot.
Corn is not a good runner for a container.
The problem is in how corn spreads its pollen. Corn does not use bees or other insects. Corn broadcasts its pollen, so it desires a fairly sizeable number of plants around itself to set seed.
