I have hear of some people buying amaryllis bulbs and the bulbs blooming after they cut the stock off when it be finished blooming and let the leaves grow, Can i tolerate my amaryllis bloom when it wants to in need it having a dormancy
Answers:    With my Amaryllis I cut the flower stalk stale once it wilts and I tolerate the leaves grow all summer. I own 2 Amaryllis. One I set out on the deck and one I have contained by the living room year round. Both of them start dropping their leaves around this time of year. I move them to the basement where on earth I have a grow feathery and leave them nearby. As their leaves get wilty I snip them sour.
I usually get blooms along sometime within January.

I used to un-pot them at the end of the growing season and later re-pot them later on. They never re-bloomed that style. Mine seem to similar to to staying in the pots they are surrounded by.
The amaryllis is light sensitive. It have to have 12 hours of blatant dark and 12 hours of daylight for a few weeks contained by order to bloom.
