They are a swamp plant, so providing conditions are swamp resembling, they should do okay. Make a little pretty pond near it next to reeds, and see how it goes. Your local nursery may know how to suggest what you need.

aboriginal to the carolinas so yes they will do fine. buy the southern coast they might suvive till mid winter. in the mountains they will obligation to be brought in, but for the summer they will love outdoors and perchance catch a few flies too !

Answers:    The humidity in Virginia will be more than so-so. Venus Fly Traps adapt ably to low humidity conditions. I live in Boulder and enjoy about a hundred plants that I grow outside and the humidity here is far lower than within Virginia. On average, in the summer, the humidity is below 30%.

Don't verbs too much about thunderstorms. Remember that these plants are home-grown to North Carolina, which isn't too far from Virginia. The weather that you experience in Virginia will be similar to the weather surrounded by North Carolina...thunderstorms and all.

Good luck near your plant. If you have more question about it, enrol the forum on my site and ask them there:
