Can anyone lend a hand me near foxglove?
I've read a lot of murder mysteries where on earth someone is killed by feed them foxglove disguised as (or put into) creamed spinach. Would this really work? Does foxglove have a strong flavor? Is foxglove tough to grow? Does it look like spinach?
Could someone carry away with this? Would it be flowing to "mistake" foxglove for spinach in a garden?
I'm of late curious.
Answers: Foxglove (Digitalis purpurea) The leaves, seeds, and flowers are poisonous, containing cardiac or other steroid glycosides. These lead to irregular heartbeat, and generally digestive upset and confusion. Can be lethal.
Foxgloves (digitalis) can be purchased at local garden centers in six pack. They are really a lovely plant.
I knew a woman who tried to kill her ex-husband's tentative wife with oleander leaves crushed contained by a pie - yep, she got caught.
If someone dies underneath strange circumstances, that's what autopsies are for.
The leaves are large and rather fuzzy-not like smooth, oval shaped spinach.
I'm not familiarized with it, but antifreeze surrounded by kool-aid works wonders!
