Butterfly support relief..? I just found a butterfly in a puddle near what looks like...

I just found a butterfly in a puddle near what looks like almost one wing missing. I wanted to assistance for it to save it the best I can. I know I should probably go put it on a fern and let it die naturally but thats not the munificent of person I am. I am going to put it in a shoebox (without the lid) beside some leaves, grass, flowers.hopefully as close to the natural habitat as I can get. I also put it some sugar dampen. It will be like nectar... I was told once that it will pilfer its place well. Is this ok?? Are there other things I am missing?? Please assistance if you can.

Answers:    Yes, sadly there is one point you are missing.
A mate.
See when the insect you have is a beautiful butterfly afterwards it is all ready at the intensely end of its life.
In this superb form it lives only to mate, reproduce(lay eggs) and die.
With out that wing, it cannot do its most important opportunity! Reproduce, it cannot find a mate. SO in a day or two it will merely die unfulfilled.
I am sorry.But it has what is called complete metamorphosis, Adult butterfly, eggs,Caterpillar(larvae),pupae,full-size and death that is the inbred cycle of its life.
