I was given one of these. Need to know everything in the region of it. Heighth, width, sun no sun, temps it will tolerate etc.
Answers:    Black Knight is a magnificent variety! Butterfly bushes are extraordinarily easy exactness and attract not just butterflies but also hummingbirds, moths and bees. You'll "grow" to love this grant year after year!

Choose a location which receives full sun and plenty of sea without anyone too wet (which will rot the stems). Begin by digging a exceedingly generously sized hole for the root system. Mix contained by plenty of organic mulch and even some Miracle-Gro potting soil into the bottom of the hole up to that time planting. Backfill with garden soil. Water very well until it becomes established.

Buddleia will bloom mid-to-late summer and verbs nearly 'til frost. The root system is perennial, but not the stems. Leave the stems on all winter, consequently prune them back to going on for 8-12" in the spring. New stems are produced postponed spring. (The shrub pruning rule of thumb is: if it blooms in the spring, prune within the fall; if it blooms within the summer, prune in the spring.)

It will accomplish its full size in 3-5 years, depending on conditions. Be prepared for a shrub that reach 6 feet elevated and 6 feet surrounded by diameter when fully mature. Give it plenty of room to grow because those branches grow adjectives in one season!

It have what I would call a "fountain" shape, next to the long, arching branches radiating from the central root system. Branches can become strapping with blooms within the summer and the lower ones may end up resting on the ground. You may receive seedlings this process, or you can trim those branches off to get mowing easier.
I have a butterfly bush...planted it myself. I don't know the speific type...but I put it something like 1 foot from the side of the house. It has attracted one butterfly that I own noticed :I and bees. It looks resembling a weed most of the time, so I cut it down and WOW what a root system...it still grows back every spring as I didn't verbs it up. Yours may be better, but that's my experience.
