but to only incorporate water give or take a few every 3 days or so and to water the heck out of them
I disagree; even moisture is better for ANY plant. Also, sudden bursts of moisture can cause the young at heart tomatoes to grow suddenly, and the skin will split, which pretty well ruins the tomato completely. Stick beside keeping the soil moist, and make sure your pot drains economically, and you'll be fine.
The proposal you got be to help the plant establish wide roots.
If the plant is well-established near this method before the days attain hot and dry, a deep watering every three days could, possibly, be enough.
Don't stop checking, though.
Whatever you do, don't forget to wet. Don't ever let the soil dry.
Don't permit the soil dry, then hose a lot while the fruit is developing. This will make happen cracking, splitting, and other tomato problems.
I live in a hot climate. I mulch next to straw to hold the water surrounded by, keep my soil moist other, water every morning, and I enjoy some of the nicest 'maters around.
Once the blossoms show up, be very sure to save the soil moist.
Answers: He told you the truth..You singular water tomatoes when the leaves slightly open to curl..about every 3 days unless within containers..which drain quicker..some guy called your friend an idiot here..where on earth is his garden..I will show you mine...overwtaering tomatoe plants will give you "blossom drop' as in good health making the fruit not as sweet... Alot of veggies fruit and produce sweeter fruit/veggies wqhen under stress..Same as watermelons and melons... You final off on the marine when the fruits start to bloom..and allow the natural sugars of the fruits/veggies to form... these veggies are 95 percent hose as it is and you are only allowing it to marine continiously and not form thier natural sugars..overwater and you might as ably buy the tsteless tomatoes in the store that they pick unripe past thier true sugars form and gas them for longer storage...Heres my garden below...Where is the guys that called your friend an idiot
