Pits can be put in wet and they grow or do I need to evaluation the pit to make it grow? Will the pit affect wicker?
Answers:    take your avacado pit, poke 3 holes around the circumferance of the pit, and insert tooth picks into the holes, plague a fruit jar with river up to the top, place the avacado pit heavy side down, into the mouth of the jar, sitting on the tooth picks, keep hold of the water at least possible half opening up the side of the pit and shortly, the pit will take root, later will start putting out a vine like growth beside attractive leafs. keep the jar on a windowpane ledge above the kitchen sink and it will become a year round plant, once leafed out, and the roots are full, within the jar, you can gradually make the addition of soil to the water slurry and once the soil is surrounded by place, the plant can be potted or placed in the garden
I've sprouted avocado pits simply by putting them in sticky soil indoors. Trouble is, we live at about 46 degree south in NZ, and it's too cold outdoors to grow them. You have need of subtropical temperatures.
