We are clearing away a huge heap in the corner of our garden which have been composting down for years. We have discovered a nouns of rubble at the base and A number of bees have be coming out of the soil?? I don't want to harm them but we really need to clear the nouns. I have tried getting answers from local bee people but they only just say leave them be, but we really obligation another solution. They are bumble bees of some kind, not honey bees as they don't live in the ground.
the bee populace are right. some bumble bees nest in the ground, theyre not honey bees. my mum used to have them nest surrounded by her garden all the time. they wont hurt you and it really is best to leave them alone. i cant remember how long the nest will stay here or how long they'll stay, but please remember that some bees are on the amber list and are quite unusual. is it possible to clear the area in a few months time? bestow them until they hibernate in winter then verbs them out and move to another location.
I wouldn't say I'm an expert, but you aren't going to move them without harm them.
They will be Bumble Bees and there will be about twenty or thirty of them tops.
Personally I would move out them - I like bees.
However, if you want them dead, (no other choice, you can't move them), dust the holes they are coming out of beside ant powder. They will walk it into the nest, the drones will lick it off them and die, the queen will starve and it will be adjectives over in a day.

Bumble bees do nest surrounded by the ground - often at the base of a tree or below hardcore rubble. Best to leave them, we accidentally disturbed a nest when we renovated a garden and the nest was solitary.
Hedgehogs will dig out a nest to get at the grubs if you expose it with the sole purpose a little, so I would leave resourcefully alone.
We have solitary bees (like small, hairy honey bees) nest within our lawn - I love them.
