Are dyed wood chips (mulch) detrimental (to enviroment and animals)? ...

The dyes used for bark mulch are vegetable base so they should decompose equal as the mulch or chips.

but seriously, why would they sell dyed mulch if it be harmful to your plants? doesnt nouns like apposite marketing to make a product that is to say supposed to help your plants that if truth be told kills them. they wouldnt catch alot of repeat business, you know?

Answers:    i dont think they are...but stay clear of pine or untreated mulch, they can attract termites...so I'm told.
