I am growing apple trees from seed. The leaves be turning a red brown. It's not fungal rust. I quit using tap sea thinking it might be the chlorine causing problems. Now one is drying up and wilting, 1 is walk with difficulty. They're being raise inside right now. what is cause this& how do I fix it? The nearest nursery is over an hour away.
Answers: Hey Hunter,
The first thing to do is stop watering so much. Let it dry out, afterwards water Deep and Infrequent. I own apple trees from seed and to be exact how I water them. The Master Gardners of Clemson extension program recommend this method of watering. So, tolerate it almost dry out, then dampen so the water comes through the bottom of the pot.
