Anyone know how ot find lilacs to bloom,i am doig na project and this is driving me silly..?

Answers:    I think it's pas lilac season. They simply bloom once a year and for a very short time.
Lilacs form their flower buds made by mid summer, the previous year. So if you pruned after that point, you may enjoy cut off adjectives the buds. Also the lilacs must have adequate stored carbohydrates before they will set flower buds. If the plant be under stress final year prior to bud formation, say from exceissive pruning any in 2006 or precipitate 2007, then the plant did not enjoy enough store life to make the flower buds. Finally winter charge is important. Lilacs will tolerate relatively cold temperatures but will not tolerate winter drying. If you have a dry winter and did not water, the buds may enjoy died. The flower bud will be in the terminal bud, to most bud on the stems..is it missing?
