I have hear that it blooms nearly all season?
how straightforward is this to plant and establish?
would it go together okay with foam flower?
Answers: "King of Hearts" Bleeding Heart & Foam Flower (Tiarella cordifolia Saxifragaceae) would grow ably together. They both like shady areas & soil enrich with compost. "King of Hearts" can tolerate more sun than other variety of Dicentra, but it is most at home in woodland settings. It like rich, loose soil that is evenly moist but also well-drained. At planting time, incorporate lots of compost, humus, or peat moss to the soil to enhance its water retention capability. It should do well if you mulch it & clear sure it doesn't dry out. Bleeding Heart can bloom as early as past due March. Common bleeding heart goes dormant after blooming, but the fringed bleeding heart 'King of Hearts' blooms from untimely spring to frost, making it one of the longest-blooming perennials in the garden.

Foam Flowers blooms April - June & is a popular choice for ground cover surrounded by shade gardens. The shallow root system of this plant also makes a sunny companion of deep rooted natives such as Solomon's Seal and Cardinal Flowers.
