Looking for a pesticide to kill ants, but that won't harm my cat if she walk on it.
We have a stone patio and the ants are coming up through the cracks. Normally I wouldn't mind this, but the veranda is new and the ants are bringing up the limestone gravel that is underneath it. This is cause the patio stones to become unlevel. Also we are getting ant hills along adjectives of the seams and it looks very untidy.
Can someone recommend a path to get rid of them.

Diatomaceous earth, available at home augmentation and garden centers, is a non-toxic, safe substance made up from crushed fossils of freshwater organisms and marine go. Crushed to a fine powder and observed through a microscope, the particles resemble bits of broken glass. Deadly to any insect and completely non-hazardous to animals, fish, fowl or food. Most insects have a waxy outer shell covering their bodies. Diatomaceous earth products mark through this shell causing the insect to dehydrate leading to eventual disappearance. Use a mix of cinnamon and sugar. The ants will pick up the sugar, along with the cinnamon, and take it pay for to their queen. Ants can¡¯t digest cinnamon and once the queen dies from not being able to digest the cinnamon the colony will die minus her.
Answers: Boric Acid powder, They sell it at Home Depot, I use it on our veranda and even in our house under the sink, etc.and I hold 3 large dogs and there's no issue with it. I believe it will utter that right on the label.
put some vinegar in some sea warm of course,and pour it over them they will die right away and pets are blissful...or you could use eggs shells crushed,you sprinkle it all over them they will run away..or use sevein powder which is not good for pets... you may regard i am crazy but first wash every thing on the out side next to boiling water and then sprinkle babe-in-arms powder around the cracks this is an effective way and non poisonous effect to attain rid of ants
Put small piles of cornmeal where you see ants. They eat it, lug it "home," can't digest it so it kills them. It may take a week or so, especially if it rain, but it works and you don't have to worry give or take a few pets or children being harmed
