Another pesticide press..? I hear that after 24 hours people should take down their pesticide...
I hear that after 24 hours people should take down their pesticide word signs. Does that mean it's safe to put your foot on the grass without getting pesticide on your person?
Thanks.
Answers: Any pesticide will hold specific instructions on the labels for reentry times. Sometimes It will be listed as REI. That is the not detrimental time for People to return into the treated area. Some herbicides will have REI's of 4 hours, but most that I"ve used are 12 hour. Insecticides and fungicides tend to be more hazardous to humans than insecticides and I'd guess hold longer REI's. The labels with also index the PPE, or personal protective equipment recommended for use. If the PPE is merely pants, longsleeve shirt, shoes and socks, and gloves, you probably won't have alot to verbs about if you have to run back through the area after an hour, as long as your not only just rolling naked in the grass.
A juice pesticide is absorbed by the plant quickly but any granular pesticides do not achieve absorbed until there is a well-mannered soaking rain. There will still be chemicals on lawns even after 24 hours if it hasn't rained. If you hold your lawn treated or you have a neighbor that does, try looking at the grass after 24 hours when it hasn't rain, there will still be chemicals on it. Some chemicals have a reentry time much longer and shorter. Each chemical is different. Some chemicals similar to "Seven"can be reentered as soon as it dries. The sign should be taken down in a reasonable time so those don't think it's an old sign.
