We put some tomato and green bean plants in a section of the backyard where on earth we put in some topsoil. We grew the plants from seed and the other morning I was pulling out the weaker ones to make room for the larger, in good health ones to grow.
While doing this, the roots came out as well and here were an alarming amount of earwigs. Disgusting really. I noticed some white earwigs aswell which made me verbs that they may be breeding in there.
What do I do?
Answers: The probability are, they are not breeding. The white earwigs are ones that have just molted. Earwigs will gain in dark, moist places, and while they sometimes get through vegetation, they also eat other insects. If you don't want to use insecticide to grasp rid of them you can buy sticky traps at the garden store.
yucky bugs are often the ones that make your plants' soil the healthiest. mulch very well and don't overwater.
