1 Gallon Vinegar 1Teaspoon of salt and dishsoap - Pump spray on weeds.
These are organic sources and will not hurt the enviroment . about as least venomous as you can get
Sounds like a great substitute to me. Some people even suggest just a bit of soap and hot river applied at the roots.
As with anything, apply sparingly. You don't want the mix getting on plants you want to keep.
Congrats on choosing a undisruptive option for you, us and the generations to come. We appreciate it!
Answers: Heidi----I can't answer whether it have any environmental impact or not-----but that's exactly what I use-----can't be too bad----my dog thinks when I spray all that crabgrass next to vinegar and salt that it is his personal salad. LOL-----------grass grows back where on earth I sprayed fairly rapidly-----I stay away from any desired vegetation.----------sure beat all the chemicals we used to use------you have to use deeply and it takes about three apt wet applications but it does work----I have used probably 12 gallons of vinegar so far this season-----don't always use the salt----when I do add the saline I go very robust with it--up to half a box surrounded by a gallon at times-----have not been using the salt lately and it seem to work fine without it----I just give a couple good squirts of dish soap to the gallon.
