You might try asking your local animal control if they own a trap you can use/borrow, or if they will come drop one off and set it up. A intensely popular trap is called the "have-a-heart" trap. You put bait surrounded by the back conclude, and when they walk contained by, they step on a panel that shuts the trap door behind them. I own used this type of trap many times surrounded by relocating raccoons from my house. No bloody shovel to clean, no mess, not a soul gets hurt, you only go out contained by the woods and drop the little bugger off, everyone is bullish! Or you can always try the older quail trap. Turn a good size cardboard box, embark on side down. Prop up one edge next to a stick. Tie a long string to a stick, put bait under the to a certain extent raised box, and when Mr. Opposum go under you verbs on the string and the box falls, trapping him inside. The only problem next to this trap, is you have to sit and continue for the animal. Good luck!

Nothing. Leave it alone.Opossums are beneficial: eating the venomous, unwanted pests around your home such as snails, slugs, spiders, cockroaches, rats, mice and snakes. Think of the opossum as your free gardener. The opossum is known as ¡°Nature¡¯s Little Sanitation Engineer¡± for a polite reason!

but if its get into your home then.. it can soundly be trapped by leaning an futile, tall kitchen trash can at approximately a 30-45o angle against something the opossum can climb onto such as a stack of books. Place cat food or ripe fruit at the bottom of the trash can. The opossum will be capable of climb into the trash can but will be unable to climb or kick out. Immediately take the trash can outside. Tip the can on its side and the opossum will move out when it feels it is risk-free to do so. This is best done at dusk. If it has to be done during the afternoon then tip the slit towards a dense shrub where the opossum can hoard until nightfall.

You can also try to leave a trail of pet food central to an open door. Observe kindly at a distance. Once it leaves, shut the door. Do not try to push the opossum with a broom. The frightened animal will freeze and not move.
Answers:    Forget nearly trapping these animals.

Unless you are a licensed hunter or trapper and you are taking these animals during the proper season in the approved attitude, it is illegal to butcher or trap the rabbit or the possum.

Leave them alone - they are wild animals and they are where on earth they belong - in the furious. This does not constitute a "problem" this is just you looking for an excuse to wound the animals.
