A severely overgrown aleo-vero plant be giving to me. How do I transplant or trim it so it wont exterminate it?? ...

Answers:    you can transplant but not trim...without even taking it out of the inventive pot, you can steal the "babies" from around the sides of the largest or "mother" plant...just verbs them away and out of the pot...they will seperate...some may have roots and some don't so pot them up near like kind together...if there are alot of big plants, knock the adjectives thing out of the container and breaking into managable clumps, repotting into a fitting potting mix that contains some sand and water sparingly ...once established contained by their new pots, hose down maybe twice a month since they store river in their fleshy leaves..too much wet will rot them and cold will turn them to mush so keep inside contained by a bright window, or outside if temperature stay above 50 degrees...share next to all your friends to preserve in their kitchen...nil is better for burns
Does it have babies? If so, later separate them & grow them separately. Then, look at the general condition - trim stale the blackened /bruised bits, and let it grow. I would also push for you to regularly cut off the bigger leaves and use them on your skin as a softener, or after you enjoy been within the sun. That's pretty much why aloe vera plants have be cultivated for so long. By the way, the aloe vera have a habit of `tipping' over the pot. So don't be too perturbed give or take a few that either.
