Hi, I know lined curtains preserve the heat within, but i suffer from SADS and I need sunlight into the house contained by the winter when it is cold outside, What is the best way to agree to sunlight in and save heat surrounded by ? Is there an expensive fanlight that does this, ? i am outdated and also this house was built surrounded by 1981 with no updates ??? I am on a tight budget, but my roast is going out and I want to start somewhere, Hope this makes sense, from the disorganized 56 year old dino :)
Answers: double pane, low-E chalice, it's awesome! lets surrounded by light, keep things warmer surrounded by the winter, and cooler in the summer. i replaced my single pane cup, and got the low-E because they be on special that month. There are also gasses that can be used between the panes to hold even less warmth movement out, or in as the defence may be. you could also consider doing one wall at a time, like the one beside the most direct light first.
Put some sort of film over the pane so that air won't escape through the cracks. If the sun is not surrounded by the window, close the drapes.
