I'm writing a letter to our council to replace one of the bedroom's fanlight frame, the frame is becoming detached from the wall,
Could anyone offer some sentences I could use in relation to the dangers surrounded by this?
Many thanks, I'm not that flawless when writing letters and don't want to bugger it up, Thanks again.
Answers: Dear Sir/ Madam,
I am writing to draw your attention to one of the double glazing window in my house. This pane is starting to detatch from the wall and as it is a first floor bedroom I believe it represents a danger.
These window were fitted by yourselves, or your contractor, x weeks/months/years ago.
This eccentricity first appeared x weeks ago and I consider it to be getting worse and it is only a business of time before the windowpane actually falls from the apeture.
The difficulty arises not only for the house occupant, which includes x children under 5, but also to anyone below.
I would be grateful if you could arrange for someone to complete a site drop by to remedy this dangerous situation.
While on site, it might also be worthwhile your inspector checking the other window. Although at first sight none appear to be not working i believe checking them would be the right thing to do.
I can be available at short observe to allow access to the property by phoning 1111 1111111, please provide x hours/days notice but because of the difficulty on the situation I will try to make myself available if the awareness period is shorter.
Could you also confirm surrounded by writing that you have received this reminder and accept liability for any loss arising from this windowpane failure as you are immediately aware of the situation and i believe fixing it is part of your responsibility.
Because of the sanctuary aspect of this situation i believe time is of the essence so would appreciate a reply within 14 days.
Yours devotedly,
me
