I bought a moon cactus and decided that it would be my desk plant at work. I don't want to maintain it at home, because there are two curious kittens near who manage to capture into everything. :) I don't sit by a window at work, but I could sit it by the windowpane when I leave on the weekends if required. I've read that they are grafted cacti and are low keeping. Some sites say to wet every month, others say to hose it when you think its dry. Will it live if it solitary receives flourescent fluffy? I've read that they need street lamp shade. Any advice is welcome.

Answers:    Most cactus need radiator weather. If it gets too cold contained by your office it may win sick.
