When I try to screw it in, the screw starts going within sideways and it makes it impossible to screw it surrounded by completely?

I agree with the answer more or less slowly beginning it. Your body should also be as straight on as possible-- at smallest your arm. If your body can stand directly in front of the insertion point, you can use your body to lean into the force and steady your arm. Still go slowly!
