Ridgeway grandfather clock runs, keeps tremendously good time, but does not chime. Is it possible the chains could own been reversed so it would not chime?
Answers: I agree beside Morris, first check to see if there is a horizontal that turns the chimes off. Many clocks enjoy this feature. Others hold a feature that turns past its sell-by date the chimes at night.

Most clocks the chimes can be turned on or stale by a small flip lever. Or maybe it requests service.
