Why are stair lift so slow?
Answers: its to do with the gearing
it have to be a very greatly high ratio surrounded by case the motor fail during a lift
otherwise the substance of a person would kind it drop back down
[similar to the approach a car wont roll down a mount if you park it in first gear]
Really of late for safety's sake,most stairlifts are fitted with an emergency breaking system that locks them place if a catastrophic letdown occurs.
