My father began building a home in the impulsive 1980s. It is a 2-story log cabin kit beside a basement. The main structure gear portion is complete, but he never finished the additional interior work to make the home suitable to live contained by. There is some electrical and plumbing work completed, but unfinished items I know of are flooring, drywall, kitchen cabinets and countertops, lighting. He did finish the master bedroom and tub enough so they can spend the night in attendance occasionally. What type of professional would be the best to hire to get a complete list of the remaining items to be done so that the home can be considered finished and suitable to live contained by? My goal is to finish the dream home for my parents and help them move contained by since they are aging and are unable to complete it themselves. I just don't know where on earth to start.
Call a common contractor and get at least three quotes. call upon a local generial contractor.what area is the cabin? I might know someone surrounded by ur area to help u..email me..
lic. gen. contractor
There are numerous routes to follow. If you know anything about building you will need to write a specification sheet almanac all that you want done.
If not use a quantity surveyor, architect or a building contractor The best place to start is to phone call a series of pros, and ask them for individual quotes. Then if you choose a general contractor, you have a podium line for your job costs.
Answers: Well, we called the building inspector first and he told us what we'd need to do to obtain every thing to code. It was nice because consequently we could gauge what the contractors were unfolding us vs what the building inspector told us.
