You can do it the comfortable way and purchase a fire pit steel ring. Dig a hole gaping enough for the steel ring and you're primarily ready to be in motion.
Works for use. We also use our fire pit for outdoor cooking.
You'll need grates to put across the fire pit. We have ours made to size. Check out the stores to see if they have made to size grates. You can also use a tripod beside a grate that sits higher up away from the flame.
Thisthe simply way we do our outdoor cooking. I've given up on grills. Of course we also use in recent times to sit and relax and watch the fire. Don't permit the flames get to lofty if you're around trees.
