Does Home Depot or Lowes carry a 16" door? I checked the websites but didn't find anything. Is it possible to cut a 32" door within half since I necessitate to of these 16" doors, or are most inexpensive doors hollow?
Just buy a 30 or 32 inch bifold door, around $40-50, and you will two doors, both professionally finished. Many styles and they come in solid wood to stain, or primed for fine art.
They don't stock doors that small. Typicall the smallest they convey is a 24". You'll have to lay down it from the order desk.
Is this for an interior door? Interior doors are hollow. I can be cut to a smaller size, but you'd own to take the wood that be on the edge and put it backbone in on the snake. A lot of work for someone who's never done this, nor how to do it. If it's an exterior solid core door you can, but the edge that you cut will look similar to whatever the inside of the door is made of. If you're panting, don't verbs about it.
Just command the door. Usually they're pretty cheap $20-30, but since you have to writ it might be around $50. Then you'll still have to mortise for the hinge and lockset, plane the door to fit, and trim the bottom.
I hope you know a carpenter.
