What's a right floor leveling compound? I'm turning part of my garage to a mother within law...

I'm turning part of my garage to a mother within law apartment, tallying a 10x10 addition. I've notice that the floor (wood) in the existing room is bowed something like 5/8" over 10'. I need to engender the new (level) floor game up to the bowed floor, and was hoping to use leveling compound lower than the luan underlayment. Can I get this stuff at Home Depot or Lowes? Does it work, is it durable, and can I drive the underlayment nail through it after it sets?
Answers:    I install floor covering and the best that I know of is a coumpound made by ARDEX.........might better check a local flooring company because Lowes and H/D probably do not carry it..........the stuff bonds to anything.great product.......
You can buy self-leveling compund in a minute that really works beautifully, if you can't find it effective the other compounds, ask an associate. I know they are hard to find at Home Depot(sales associates), sometimes I purely stand in the aisle and bellow "HELP!" Really.
