What is the best route to remove stain from a dresser?

Answers:    Are you asking about a stain such as a wet spot or dirt or to remove the finish from the dresser. Since other answerers dealt beside the first part, I will address the second. In writ to refinish a dresser, I would first sand the dresser to the original color, start next to a medium grit for the removal, going to a finer grit to smooth out the wood. Remember to progress with the particle of the wood. At this point I would use a wood conditioner, then apply a trial stain, if desired, then a polyurethane coat, even if you are going near a natural look.
Mr. Clean Magic Eraser works wonders on everything. I haven't tried a dresser up to that time, but I have tried it beside just just about everything else. Just wet it down, wring out the excess sea, and scour away at the dresser.
