I want to make a wardrobe piece which has a door which open downwards to create a desk. What hinge should I use, to make sure it open up to 90 degrees and is strong plenty to hold something like a computer?
Piano hinge will be fine. Make sure you gain a strong one. DIY store should be able to insist on.
Both one and two offer the most appropriate hinge, and they do come surrounded by a small variety of widths. Number one offer a valid notion for bracing hardware, and that is also available specific to your application.
